Prof. Tatsuhiko Kubo

Professor at Department of Public Health and Health Policy, Hiroshima University, Japan. Chair of International Committee, Japanese Association for Disaster Medicine, Japan Advisory Committee of ARCH Project

 

Prof. Tatsuhiko Kubo obtained a PhD in Epidemiology in 2016 and has published around 180 publications in SCI indexed journals. Uniqueness of his approach is that Prof. Kubo firstly establish national/international standard form, afterwards he joins disaster responses using the form on the frontline level, then conducted academic work by using the data collected by the standard form.

He believes this operational approach can be implemented globally and support operational knowledge sharing beyond the borders. His professional experience includes, Leader of Public Health Module/EMT Initiative Corresponding Unit of the Japan Disaster Relief; chair of the WHO Emergency Medical Team Minimum Data Set Working Group.
